Highline Public Schools is considering a school construction bond and capital technology levy for fall 2026. If either measure moves forward, voters would make the final decision.
We have added information to our website so families, staff and community members can learn more as planning continues.
The Bonds and Levies section of our website includes:
- CFAC’s 2026 bond recommendation
- Proposed school construction and modernization projects
- Information on critical needs funding
- How the bond recommendation was developed
- Planning for a possible technology levy
- What happens next
The bond recommendation was developed by the community-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee, or CFAC. The committee reviewed building conditions, site needs, enrollment trends, costs and community feedback over the past two school years.
The technology levy proposal is still being developed. If approved by voters, it could help fund student and staff devices, network infrastructure, classroom technology, cybersecurity protections and other systems that support learning and daily operations.
The School Board is expected to review bond and levy proposals in June. If the board places either measure on the ballot, voters would make the final decision.
