We know there are rumors circulating on social media about a threat against Cascade Middle School. Our Community Safety Department was notified about the threats on Wednesday. They immediately began investigating and notified local l law enforcement. It was determined that the threat was not credible.
We take all reports of a threat seriously. Please talk with your students about the importance of reporting safety concerns or threats as soon as possible, and the seriousness of making a threat on social media.
We also encourage students, staff, families and community members not to share or repost unconfirmed information. Even when shared out of concern, these posts can add to worry and confusion for students, families and staff.
If you have a concern, the best step is to report it directly to school staff or law enforcement so it can be investigated and addressed.
