High School Equivalency Credit
Equivalency Credits
Students earn a total of 3.0 credits for the year. PSSC CTE equivalency credit provides students an opportunity to meet core subject area learning standards aligned to their PSSC program. This offers flexibility with completing courses for graduation. All PSSC equivalency programs count as 2 for 1 credit (they count both for the core subject area and CTE credit as far as graduation requirements, but do not double the amount of total credits). Students can earn up to 3.0 equivalency credit for the year if offered in their PSSC program, and their PSSC transcript will automatically post equivalency credits (no form is needed). Students can earn equivalency credit for every year they attend PSSC.
Students must demonstrate meeting and/or exceeding standards to earn credit AND complete their PSSC Capstone project (Year 1 and Year 2) meeting and/or exceeding standards in order to pass their PSSC class and earn credit.
