Cyber Security
Program Overview
In this course, students will delve into the fundamentals of securing digital systems and information in an increasingly interconnected world. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical exercises, students will develop a strong understanding of essential concepts such as cryptography, network security, ethical hacking, and risk management.
The curriculum is designed to empower students with the skills needed to identify and address cyber threats, ranging from malware and phishing attacks to more advanced cyber intrusions. Additionally, students will explore the legal and ethical aspects of cybersecurity, gaining insights into the responsibilities and consequences associated with protecting digital assets.
By the end of the course, students will not only be equipped with a solid foundation in cybersecurity principles but will also have practical experience applying their skills in simulated environments, preparing them for future careers in this dynamic and crucial field.
This is a new program in the 2024-25 school year.
