Dental Assisting

About the Program

Many exciting professions are based in the fields of science and health. Begin your journey now into a life-long career. Dental Assisting provides students with an introduction to professions in the field of dentistry. Dental-assisting skills are taught preparing students for entry-level job opportunities in dental offices and clinics. Classroom theory and hands-on skills are taught concurrent with clinical experience at PSSC’s on-site Sea Mar Dental Clinic, as well as internships in private dental practices. This program offers an excellent foundation for students desiring to enter post-high school pre-dental and pre-hygiene college programs in dental assisting and dental lab tech.
